| This thornless climber is a found rose given to me by Peggy Martin, an ardent supporter
and member of the New Orleans Old Garden Rose Society. This rose blooms heavily every spring covering
itself with heavy clusters of bright pink blooms, and after
established for several years, repeats in fall. Mine bears a few flowers through summer. Peggy lost her parents and home in Hurricane Katrina, but
her rose survived two weeks of submersion in salt water. In remeberance of the victims of
Hurricane Katrina and the fortitude of its survivors, we have Peggy's rose. Zones 6-9. |
