Class:R. banksiae hybrid, Climber
Size:20 - 40 ft. tall
Introduced:Fortune, 1840
This cross between R. banksiae and R. laevigata inherited the nearly thornless character and flower form of the former, but flowers are larger and more fragrant. This large and vigorous rambler is often used as rootstock for budded roses in southern climates, but is beautiful as a garden plant in its own right. Zones 7-9.
