Cherokee rose originated in China and is now naturalized in the Southeastern US. Here in Mississippi, it announces the onset of spring, brightening roadside woodlands with large white flowers. While this rose is vigorous, it is not invasive. It needs little or no care and is great for growing up trees on the edge of a woodland. Zones 7-9.
