Cecile Brunner, Spray

Class:Polyantha
Bloom:Light pink
Size:4 - 7 ft. tall
Introduced:Thomas, 1920
DNA studies have shown that this rose is very likely to be a sport of the polyantha rose, Cecile Brunner, and it certainly resembles it in appeaerance. The bush or spray form grows much larger but with the same perfectly formed small light pink roses. On the Spray form, the roses are held well above the foliage in huge airy sprays. The stems are long and excellent for cutting. Unlike most polyantha roses, Spray Cecile Brunner has fragrance. In spring especially, each rose is accented by very long feathery sepals. A unique and wonderful rose. Zones 6-9.
