By the following year, the roses had grown a lot, but still were not mature. This one bed,
which is about 10 ft. long and 5 ft. wide in the center, holds Marie Pavie, Cramoisi Superieur,
Louis Philippe, Old Blush, Katharina Zeimet, Cecile Brunner Spray, Martha Gonzales, and Pink
Pet. The rest of the garden was planted with equal widsom. Who knew these tea and china
roses would need more than 2-3 ft. of space? Please stop laughing.
By the following spring, it was a jungle, and most of the roses were moved to a new area.
