This is the first garden, started in winter of 1999-2000. I made the paths out of pea gravel, and the beds are edged with brick. In theory, the paths are 3 ft. wide. In reality, they are about 2 ft. wide. A shovel handle does not make a good ruler. The beds are also a couple of feet short of the plan.
