Noisette Roses

In the early 1800's, a once-flowering seedling now known as Champney's Pink Cluster was passed from John Champneys of South Carolina to his neighbor, Philippe Noisette, and then taken to France, where it's descendants were eventually dubbed Noisette roses. Noisette roses are shrubby and often climbers with medium to light green foliage and excellent repeat bloom. Crosses with tea roses resulted in the characteristic delicate-colored and scented blossoms shown by most Noisettes. They are disease-resistant roses with flowers that are usually small to medium, fragrant, and appear in clusters.
